How we're funded
We're not-for-profit. Our help for people looking for an apprenticeship is free, and every dollar we take in goes back into that work.
Free for apprentices, always
Nobody looking for an apprenticeship ever pays us, for anything. That includes signing up, being introduced to an employer, and our support while you train.
Where the money comes from
- Optional services for employers. Employers can pay for services such as introductions to suitable candidates and help supporting an apprentice through to qualification. Employer fees fund our free services for apprentices.
- Grants and donations. We apply to funders whose purposes match ours.
- Volunteer time. Right now, most of the work is done unpaid.
What money can't buy
No employer can pay to change a review, a rating or any figure we publish, or to be ranked above anyone else. Paid services and published information are kept separate.
No private profit
All income is applied to our purposes. Nobody takes a share of profits, and if the organisation ever closes, anything left goes to another New Zealand charity.
